Founded in 2014 with the mission of promoting the health, happiness, and quality of life of companion animals, ANIMALIA is now a local benchmark for the excellence of its integrated services, which combine clinical expertise, personalized care, and a deep respect for the bond between humans and their four-legged companions.
Since its opening, ANIMALIA has been growing, not only in terms of structure, but above all in the quality of its services. We currently offer three major areas of service, which are complementary and essential to the comprehensive care of animals: the veterinary clinic, the pet shop, and the pet spa with bathing and grooming services.

With a degree in Veterinary Medicine from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of the Technical University of Lisbon, Dr. Márcia completed her Integrated Master's Degree in 2010, with a final grade point average of 16. Her thesis, graded 18, addressed the topic “Neospora caninum as a cause of abortion in a dairy farm in Moita do Ribatejo.”
Committed to continuing education, she attended a postgraduate course in Small Animal Medicine (General Practitioner in Small Animal Medicine) at Improve International in Lisbon, and also completed a professional course in Entrepreneurship and SME Management.
At ANIMÁLIA, technical knowledge is combined with a close relationship with pet owners, providing excellent care for dogs, cats, and farm animals.

With a degree in Veterinary Nursing from the Castelo Branco Higher Agricultural School, Pedro began his career at the Pico Island Farmers' Association, where he gained experience in various areas of animal production and health, with an emphasis on milk testing, artificial insemination, and direct support to veterinarians.
Over the years, he has invested in further training in the areas of milk hygiene and quality, bovine genetics, first aid, and agricultural management, strengthening his technical and practical skills in the field, especially with large animals.
At ANIMÁLIA, Pedro plays a key role in the daily monitoring of our patients, ensuring integrated care both in the clinic and in the field with empathy and professionalism.
